Maharashtra: Industry Facilitation Helpdesk to Launch Soon in Bhosari
Maharashtra to Launch Industry Facilitation Helpdesk in Bhosari to Boost Ease of Doing Business
The Maharashtra government is gearing up to launch an Industry Facilitation Helpdesk in Bhosari, a key industrial hub near Pune, as part of its efforts to improve the ease of doing business. Scheduled to begin operations next month, the initiative is designed to provide businesses with quick and efficient support for regulatory approvals, licenses, and compliance-related issues.
The helpdesk will function as a single-window system, offering both online and offline assistance to industries, particularly small and medium enterprises (SMEs), which often struggle with bureaucratic delays. By centralizing services such as permit applications, labor law consultations, and environmental clearances, the government aims to reduce processing times and enhance transparency.
Industry representatives have praised the move, calling it a much-needed step to strengthen Maharashtra’s industrial ecosystem. "Bhosari is a major manufacturing cluster, and this helpdesk will significantly ease the challenges faced by businesses, especially smaller units," said a local trade association leader. The initiative is also expected to attract new investments and create job opportunities in the region.
Aligned with the state’s broader ‘Magnetic Maharashtra’ vision, the Bhosari helpdesk could serve as a model for similar facilities in other industrial zones if successful. Officials emphasized that the goal is to minimize red tape and foster a more business-friendly environment.
