Sambhal CO Anuj Chaudhary Given Clean Chit in Holi-Jumma Comment Investigation

In a significant development, Chief Officer (CO) Anuj Chaudhary of Sambhal has been exonerated by an internal inquiry into allegations surrounding his remarks on the overlapping of Holi and Jumma (Friday prayers) earlier this year. The investigation, conducted by administrative authorities, found no evidence of misconduct or intent to provoke communal discord.

The controversy arose in March when certain social media posts attributed contentious statements to Chaudhary regarding the dual celebrations. While the remarks sparked heated debates online, officials confirmed that the CO had not made any inflammatory comments and had, in fact, worked to ensure peaceful coordination between communities during the festivities.

A senior administrative official stated, "The inquiry was thorough and fair. There was no substantiated claim that CO Chaudhary made any divisive statements. His role in maintaining harmony during the Holi-Jumma period was commendable."

Local leaders and residents who worked closely with Chaudhary during the time also vouched for his impartiality. "He facilitated dialogue between communities and ensured that both festivals were observed respectfully. The allegations were baseless," said a community representative.

With the clean chit, Chaudhary can now resume his duties without the shadow of the controversy. The administration has urged the public to rely on verified information and avoid spreading unverified claims that could disrupt social harmony.

This decision reinforces the importance of due process in addressing sensitive issues, especially in a diverse region like Sambhal. Authorities have reiterated their commitment to upholding communal peace and ensuring fair investigations in such matters.
