Sambhal: Eid prayer dispute between two parties addressed in a meeting attended by SDM and CO Anuj Chaudhary

Sambhal Eid Prayer Dispute Resolved Peacefully with Administration's Intervention

A potential communal clash over Eid prayer arrangements was successfully averted in Sambhal after district officials mediated between two conflicting groups. The dispute, which arose in Qazi Mohalla, involved disagreement over the venue for Eid-ul-Fitr prayers, with one group insisting on using a disputed open ground while the other opposed it due to legal and logistical concerns.

Recognizing the sensitivity of the situation, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Sambhal and Circle Officer Anuj Chaudhary promptly organized a mediation meeting with representatives from both sides, along with local religious leaders and community elders. After thorough discussions, a consensus was reached to hold the prayers at an alternative, mutually acceptable location to ensure peaceful celebrations.

"The administration's timely intervention helped resolve the matter amicably," stated CO Anuj Chaudhary. "Our focus was on maintaining communal harmony and allowing everyone to observe Eid without any tension."

Local residents welcomed the resolution, expressing relief that the situation was handled peacefully. "Eid is about unity and joy. We appreciate the officials for addressing our concerns and finding a middle ground," said Mohammad Arif, a community elder. As a precautionary measure, additional police personnel have been deployed in the area to ensure smooth festivities.

The incident underscores how proactive dialogue and administrative mediation can effectively prevent conflicts. Sambhal's handling of the dispute serves as a positive example of conflict resolution through cooperation and mutual understanding. With the matter settled, the community is now preparing for Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations, hopeful for continued peace and solidarity.
